Teen Volunteers

One of the unique aspects of the Gateways Jewish Education Programs is our Teen Volunteer Program. High school students in grades 10 through 12 are paired with a student as a one-on-one aide or are assigned to a class to provide overall support. Other volunteers contribute special skill sets, such as photography, videography, music, dance and art. Weekly training and on-site support is provided.

We are fortunate to have forged an important bond with Hebrew College’s Prozdor Hebrew High School. Prozdor students may elect to take a training course in the 10th grade and volunteer in the 11th grade.

Adult Volunteers

We welcome your participation in Gateways.

Our B'nei Mitzvah Program utilizes adult volunteer tutors. The program meets weekly at Hebrew College in Newton on Thursday afternoons. Training is provided.

Gateways is always interested in adding dedicated and knowledgable individuals to our committees. Particular areas of interest include finance, governance, special education, technology, human resources, social media, marketing and development.

If you are interested in volunteering or joining a committee, please contact Sonni Bendetson, sonni@jgateways.org, 617-630-9010 ext. 109.
